PiqPair does two things:

1. Compresses PNG and JPG files.
2. Removes image backgrounds.

1. Information We Collect

Images You Upload

When you use PiqPair, you may upload PNG or JPG images. These images may contain personal information if they show people, faces, locations, documents, property, metadata, or other identifying details.

We process uploaded images only to provide the requested service, such as compression, background removal, preview generation, download creation, troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention.

Processed Images

We may temporarily generate and store processed versions of your images so you can preview or download the result.

If accounts are offered, we may collect your name, email address, password or authentication details, plan information, usage history, preferences, and account settings.

Payment Information

If paid services are offered, we may collect billing details, transaction history, plan status, invoices, and payment confirmation data. Payment card details may be processed directly by third-party payment providers and may not be stored by us.

Technical and Usage Data

We may collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, upload activity, file type, file size, processing activity, errors, logs, timestamps, approximate location based on IP address, and similar technical data.

3. Uploaded Image Retention

PiqPair is not intended to be permanent image storage.

Uploaded and processed images are stored temporarily only as needed to provide the service, generate download links, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

Unless a different retention period is displayed in the product or required by law, uploaded and processed files should be deleted automatically after a limited period, such as 24 hours.

If you implement a different retention period, replace this section with the actual period before publishing.

4. Use of Images for Training

We do not use your uploaded images to train public AI models or image-processing models unless we clearly disclose this and obtain consent where required by law.

We may use anonymized, aggregated, or technical performance data to improve the service, provided it does not identify you or your images.

5. Image Metadata

Uploaded images may contain metadata, including EXIF data, camera details, timestamps, geolocation, device identifiers, color profiles, and other embedded information.

PiqPair may remove, alter, or reduce metadata during compression or background removal. However, we do not guarantee that all metadata will be removed. You should remove sensitive metadata before uploading if this is important to you.
